Vasthu Sasthram
set of guidelines prescribed by the rishis
'Vas' means 'to dwell' or 'to occupy'. Vasthu means 'dwelling place.' Vasthu Shastra is the set of guidelines prescribed by the Rishis, so called learned men of ancient India for planning and constructing our dwelling places which range from our homes, cities, states, countries and eventually extend to our planet and the universe!
Vaastu suggests ways in which we can live in tune with the laws of nature. Vaastu is independent of time. The slope of the plot, the slope of the access road etc plays an important role in deciding the vaastu of a plot. Hence it is necessary to correct the plot before a construction is being done. This will substantially reduce the cost when compared with correcting the plot after starting the construction. Hence it is advisable to do the necessary checks and correction before commencing the work.
Why Vasthu ?
Vaastu is based on two forces "positive" and "negative" which are constantly interacting with each other on the surface of the land. These forces should get disturbed whenever any structure is erected on a vacant land, to maintain a balance. When the negative energy dominates a building it causes ill effects both mentally and physically .Hence it is necessary that the positive energy dominates the structure to produce positive effects health wise and wealth wise .Hence it is necessary to design buildings by vaastu principles. |
